EDIT: Orignally the word was 'undereducated' but I don't know if that's a good word to use.

Anyone have a more in detail account of this incident? This is old news I suppose but I'm pretty sure it has resurfaced again recently?  It really makes me mad.

Yeah, undereducated like the author of that article. I believe he meant "piqued" american interest, not "peaked."

hahah, yeah I see that typo all over the place. I would never ask that scoundrel to check MY spelling ;D.

I saw a documentary on a few days ago investigating torture by American troops. The loopholes, rationalizations and justifications to torture anyone. The politicians ducking and weaving.

There was another show on a few days ago documenting the history of media in American wars, how they control the information that the public sees/hears.

I have no idea what agenda they follow, but I'm coming to see the American military as a despicable organization. Powerful though, they sure get away with a lot!

...I don't think I've made any spelling mistakes so far, please jump at me if I have ;D

Yeah, although I don't know that I'd expect the world's largest super power [and for that matter, here in Europe] to be less, well pretty much anything than smaller countries or whatever other regimes are out there...otherwise they wouldn't be where they are, would they? We'd be crapping in holes in the ground and they'd be watching soap operas and eating nachos.

TBH, I can't see why anyone would go near the place unless they were a citizen, unless I was going from somewhere immediately far worse like Einstein et al.

Once you add in the "free" things, like speech, information and 20% more washing power, they have to be even worse from the pov of secrecy. We weren't so shy years ago.

OTOH, I think I prefer being BS'd too, especially since we all know [except for the ones who believed in UFOs, but they had fun and sold books], than being tickled with a feather until I vote correctly.

Stupidity isnt just limited to one country, even if that country does seem to be the leader in it.
