Anybody else into philosophy?
on: October 21, 2005, 12:34:10 AM
Anybody else besides me into philosophy?
What ideas intrigue you the most?
Who are your favorite philosophers?

Right now I'm into phenomenology...
I picked up Heidegger's Being and Time, although I haven't cracked it open yet. I've read Being and Nothingness, and other books by Heidegger, and am starting to get into Hegel.
Chuck Norris didn't lose his virginity- he systematically tracked it down and destroyed it.

Oh im really into it, did some academically while on my journalism school, but i can really say it doesn't get better than reading it and understanding it for yourself. I got messed up with Sartre and Foucault several times, they drove me to do bad things tho, so I'm on a break right now. I'm obsessed with the idea of living on constant contradiction.  ;D
Densely theoretical books grab my fancy, the pinnacle being letre et le neant and les mots et les choses. Hehe and Being & Time couldn't be more befitting! Deep frying my brain is a common activity around these guys.
