That is a good explanation but the # would not indicate a double-sharp even if there is already a # in the sig--there would always be x to indicate double-sharp. If there is a # in addition to the # in the sig, that would just be a courtesy accidental (or "Reminder accidental").
The only issue now it the rhythm, which isn't easy to accurately explain in words, so I would consult a recording, unless someone else wants to give the verbiage a shot.
I guess one way to think of it would be 16th, triplet 32nds, 16th, 16th.
