Marche Militaire by Schubert is a good one... i played it with someone in a concert and we just kept getting faster and faster until we were playing as fast as we could!!! Lol... that was funny...
I can only find the solo piano sheet music free though... ill email you my duet version if you want...

Martha Mier has a duet book for beginner students. I'm sorry, I don't remember what it's called. They're very nice pieces, both parts are equally musical and are of equal difficulty.

Melody Bober has a nice duet book for beginners called "Hats off to You"
It's the best one I've found for beginners, musical and interesting for them.
They also suggest wearing different hats when you play them for fun and expression.

A couple of times I've been able to get my daughter to play hymns with me, with her playing the top two voices and me the bottom two.

I know that's not quite what you are looking for, but maybe better than nothing.

Lessons I've had on other instruments have always involved playing duets with my teacher, but apparently this is rare on piano.

I recommend:
First Favorite Duets
Various/arr. Olson
Alfred Publishing Co, Inc
these are cute, easily recognizable tunes.

Cool Pets
By Randall Hartsell
Arranged by Randall Hartsell
these are definitely kid pleasers, esp. hard to reach boys (the songs have names like "the parrot" "the iguana" etc and just sound cool)

I think the one your thinking of is called Terrific Tunes fo Two book 1 is super easy and for the very early beginner.  There are some good pieces in here with good titles and students like them.

BTW March Militaire is not for the very early beginner...!!!!

cheers

Ravel - Pavane de la bell au bois dormant, from Ma mere l'oye
Czerny - Allegretto, Op. 824, No. 18
Stravinsky - Five Easy Pieces:  Andante or Balalaika are good ones.

For a VERY BEGINNER...i hope you never start teaching and then after 6 months give two students the Ravel!
