saw beethoven's 9th symphony last night OMG
on: October 30, 2005, 01:47:52 AM
MAN, like i thought it was fantastic blaring it out of my ipod, but seeing it live was just amazing, like it totally knocked my socks off, trampled on them and left them for dead. not a huge choir- only like 70 in it but my god they could make a lot of noise, and the soloists were bril, and the orchestra!! WOW i have never been so excited in my entire life, like it was seriously hard to sit still and not start jumping around in some unco-ordinated manner! i think if i was only allowed to pick one piece of music to listen to for the rest of my life that would be it. like my god i can't get over it it was just seriously good! :D :D :D have any of the other sydneyer's seen it? or anyone else around the world who has also been knocked out of their socks by it? i'm just so amazed right now, beethoven rocks my socks!!

Oh yes there isn't anything quite like live music for sure- thats why i'm obsessed with attending every concert going! Beethoven's 9th is definitely one of those must see live pieces!!

Totally agree with you.  I remember the first time I saw it live.  I sat next to a concrete pole and the guy beside me was breathing lounder than the orchestra sometimes.... but that Symphony live is just...WOW.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
