About the audition room
on: October 31, 2005, 09:44:23 AM
Most of the files I want to post are not in MP3 format, especially when theyre videos. Theyre usually in WMV format. Being on a school computer I have a hard time downloading a mp3 converter. Any chance of letting us upload other types of files?
For a good laugh, check out my posts in the audition room, and tell me exactly how terrible they are :)

At the moment we do not allow videos to be uploaded because of the huge bandwidth and space they take up on the server but we may reconsider this at a later time.

This a good temporary fix but the drawback is that your files may be deleted from their server if not dowloaded very often.

I have never used it myself bu according to the savefile.com FAQ:
When will my file be deleted?
- All files with no downloads for 14 days will be deleted.
Please note that this limit can be lowered to 10 days in extreme cases.

Anyway, this is quite OK since most topics in the audition room are viewed often enough to keep the files alive.
Much worse though is it to use yousendit.com for file storage since the file will be deleted after 7 days or 25 downloads, whichever occurs first.
The topic will then remain at Piano Forum but nobody can access the file. :(

I don't think www.rapidshare.de will remove your files
Chuck Norris didn't lose his virginity- he systematically tracked it down and destroyed it.

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31. Piano Street’s members are invited to watch the livestream. Read more
