Any way out of this?
I'm inclined to postpone my response, so I'll let you know later in the month ......
I'm tired. I have a long list of things to do. There's no way I can possibly get it all done, but I have things that need to be done tomorrow. And I need to practice more. But I'm tired, so all I feel like doing is sleeping now.Any way out of this?
Good ideas coming from Abell I see.
I'm sure you know about prioritizing, making A, B, and C lists, and all that... I just heard about the 10 + 2 method: Make your list. Choose something and work on it for 10 minutes (set a timer). After the 10 minutes, goof off for 2 minutes (use the timer again). Repeat the process...you can do this 5 times in a hour; you will have accomplished or made progress on up to 5 things, and had 5 little goof-off breaks. I haven't used this method yet, but I have found the timer very useful for tackling large unpleasant tasks...I figure I can handle almost anything for 15 or 20 minutes. And, if I know that that's the only thing I have to focus on for that time, I can really concentrate.
