Well, given that Yale is now free, its student body will attract the greatest talent from around the world ..... and the best professors will want to teach there.

In any case, overall, Yale ranks as the top private university in the USA (generally, it outranks Harvard).

but does it compare with some of the big conservatories like Julliard, for instance? or is it far below the level there?

Boris Berman and Claude Frank seem to be the backbone of Yale's piano faculty. (Claude Frank is also on the Curtis faculty, btw). From what I can make out, Yale should come on the next rung after Juilliard, Curtis and Eastman ... but no tuition fee can definitely better its standard, since it is true that it will attract the best students and teachers. However, as of now, it is offering only Graduate degrees.
I cannot be sure, but I think there is some daylight between "Juilliard, Curtis, Eastman" and the rest, as to say. One look at the faculty (because, frankly, this is what matters when it comes to music) should prove the point.
Waste of time -- do not read signatures.

They're both idiots.

Ironically, gpa says nothing about a person's intelligence 8)

I agree both weren't the smartest, but I find it funny when people start poking fun at Bush and haling Kerry without knowing any of these facts.

Trust meh when ah say, no one hails Kerry. Bush just gets most of the criticism because he's still in the spot light 8)
