and, yet - there's also the zip technique. you just leave your hand relaxed and zip sideways as fast as possible to the next note you have to play. there's no real stretch involved. maybe his technique keeps the top of the hand flatter? i tend to kind of just enjoy the natural slight curve of my hand. it seems like effort to have it totally flat. i like the in and out (up to black keys -out to white) effect more than stretching my fingers out. am curious what other people feel comfortable playing and if it induces being able to play for long periods of time without strain.so far, thank God, i haven't had any tendonitis.
