and yes i agree, stevie is very highly respected and he is actually quite legendary!

Is this the Danse Macabre? it's the perfect introduction to uematsu's art. I reckon this is the most exciting thing I've ever heard, I also like how he keep this part of the Liszt version which has the repeated octaves/chords.

the bumblebee is the perfect introdution i think!

but yes, the dance macabre is awesome, and actually his valse triste i prefer to cziffra's in some ways

the only thing I don't like is the way he played the interlocking octaves, too much pedal. Apart from that this rec is true smegging pregnant cat.  8)

Yeah, it's fast, but no faster than Cziffra himself (the 1957 recording on YouTube comes out the same within about a second) and The Boss also gives a lot more light, shade and shape to the piece. Not that I don't envy Mr Uematsu his technical facility, mind.
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.
