As the book on French style no doubt reveals, since WWII alot of the schools have become blurred.  I find that at the very top there is great playing from all the schools.  In the mid and lower ranks there are strange flaws associated with each.... In that area I'd err on the side of the French school.  Trained in France I find their style closer to my heart.  I can also say even at my worst the French loved me more than some of those Russian pounders!

Now now, thats a bit rude.  But there are some things to consider about the French school for sure!
