Have you read Jasper Fforde's The Big Over Easy? -- it solves the mystery of his death.

humpty dumpty.  i forgot about him.  i liked the big over easy.  but, look at some of these skateboarders and cyclists that tip over and just go back onto the ramps or race.  or, have to mend and then go right back at it.  that means that humpty dumpty doesn't always have to stay cracked.

i wanted something to celebrate, so i cut the top half of my cast off and started bending my knee again.  (it was bugging me so much to walk around with a straight leg).  try walking up steps with one straight leg.  it's impossible.  i'd fall again with the thigh high cast on too long.  so, here i am - bend and straight, bend and straight...

if you're curious how i cut the thing off - well - i did what they said not to do and got it wet.   then i ripped and shredded and cut all the way down to below the knee.  i feel really great now.  it's not so heavy to lift my leg and i can do little leg swings.

The opening measure of Bartok's Piano Sonata perfectly alliterates the phrase "Humpty Dumpty" in sound, and in motion paints a perfect picture of his fall. If you envision this through the rest of the 1st page, he seems to bounce around quite a bit before he shatters..... :o ;D

hmmm. interesting.  how did you come to realize this?  you recognized the tune right away?  it's amazing how a simple tune can be disguised.

How does it compare to the Thursday Next books?  I thought those were great, but have heard BOE isn't as good.

I liked the Thursday Next books better, but the Big Over Easy was kind of fun.
