question: finale 2004a document format
on: November 29, 2005, 12:13:14 AM
Hey, does anyone familiar with Finale 2004a know how I can make my document
senza battuta
, that is, without individual measure? This also makes it have no time signature. (Satie did this a lot I think.) Thanks!

Yeah, basically you need to set it up as is used for Gregorian Chant. The steps are basically:
- MassEdit/Fit Music/Lock Layout - use 1 measure per system
- Measure Tool, select all measures, Edit Measure Attributes, select Invisible Barline
- ditto, Time Signature chose Always Hide
- ditto, select Position Notes Evenly Across Measure
