My first recital.....
on: November 29, 2005, 09:56:18 AM
I had my first recital about 5 months ago. I had it filmed on video. Check it out. I am sure the pieces are a bit easy for most people here in the forum, but, it was my first recital. I am preparing a harder and more professional repretoire now.

Program:
Bach - Prelude and Fugue in C major (Book 1)
Kuhlau - Sonatina in F major (1st movement)
Mozart - Sonata in C Major K.545 (complete)
Tchaikovsky - Chant de le l'aloutte from album pour l'enfants
Chopin - Prelude no.7 op. 28 in A Major
            - Waltz in A minor (op. posth)
            - Nocturne in C# minor (op. posth)
M.Cornick - Bossa nova

And one more thing, don't laugh at what i am wearing !!! I though i was so stupid to be dressed like this  :-[

You know what, i give up now. I've tried throughout the day to download this file, but things keep stuffing it up and I dont know if its my computer or what but everytime i download the file it says "Saving file". The first time it i didnt have enough room to save it, i had to re-download, the download stopped half way through (i think it was the browser), so i changed to internet explorer, it says "Saving file" then it only saves 8 mb, then i redownload and it only saves 20 mb, so i re download again, let you know it takes 2 hours to re download. So it says saving again, and it saved 50.3 mb. AHH i give up, sorry, ill just watch what i have!

You sit pretty close to the piano, i seriously don't know how people can sit so close your knees are under the piano, the notes, i pull my chair back so my knees are not under the piano and my teacher still tells me to move back!

But good playing, i enjoyed your playing, i only heard the first 3 pieces.

I don't know why i do this. I got used to it and i feel comfortable to it. It is just a matter of your own. Look at Gould's posture !!! :o

OK Ok. I am sorry for posting all this 144 MB file. I guess it beat the world record for the largest file on this forum.

Maybe i can get an mp3 version of it and upload it later.

But i guess the problem can be with your internet connection speed, guys !!!

Yeah, I gave up because it would have taken about 10 years to download; however, I am interested in hearing it.

No way am i going to wait 5 hours to download this recital, even if its chopin playing the piano

Well, I would do it if it were Chopin, but not anyone else.
It all happens on Discworld, where greed and ignorance influence human behavior... and perfectly ordinary people occasionally act like raving idiots.

A world, in short, totally unlike our own.

Downloaded it in 6 hours. Unfortunately the sound quality is so poor, I can hardly recognise the pieces you've played. I'm sorry.

As far as I could listen to Chopin, you played it very nice.

Maybe better to record only sound next time and split it up in pieces?
