pathetique trouble
on: December 06, 2005, 03:16:37 AM
On the second page, I have seen two different forms that the left hand is written. I was wondering, how is it played, C and C and C and C, or is it just an editing short cut and it is played like the bass celf on the first measure of the second page.

It is played exactly the same way as the first bar of the section. This is just a shorter way of writing it. What the left hand does here is a 'tremolo'. You'll see that often in muic, to save time while writing, and to make the music easier to read, tremolos are "abbreviated" like that.
