Mah own family issues bother me from time to time. It doesn't seem too bad because as a whole the family is in the habit of ignoring things, but the problems still lurk under the surface. This sort of thing seems pretty common, I suppose a well functioning family is a rare thing. I can only think of one family I know in life that's able to communicate well and sort out their problems.
Take a step back and see that you only have the one family, and that it can be a very important part of your life, either a strong foundation or a source of trouble. Long story short, it's worth doing what you can to make the situation better, for you and all your kin.
My approach is to first make good relations with each individual family member and myself, and from that point I'm better able to help everyone else with their seperate issues. It's more effective to bring up a problem as an ally than confrontational, you can bypass most defenses. Beyond your efforts, it's up to them whether they listen or not. The truth will speak for itself.
Like anything, ignoring it won't solve nothin'.
