Rafal Blechacz was the best.  Nobody plays Chopin like Blechacz and nobody was a close to Chopin as he was ( so natural performance with style and elegance). For my opinion, only Romanza of Concerto in e minor was not so beatiful.

So you think Chopin should be played boring and all the rules must be followed and that any creativity shouldn't be allowed?

Wunder was the best imo, he played with style, his own style, and that's what we really need.

I dont thing boring, only natural, without mannerism. It is only my opinion.
Wunder was excelent too, but his Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise was not representative.

I personally thought Takaya Sano a.k.a the HITMAN was on a different level than everyone else. However he was harshly cut after the first round.

My favourite was Ingolf Wunder by far.

i also greatly enjoyed the performances of Xiaoxi Wu, Sekimoto, Yamamoto, Hong-Chun Youn, Dong-hyek Lim, Wen-yu Shen, Meiting and Howard Na
