Happy Birthday hide!
on: December 13, 2005, 02:18:27 AM
I say it again,
Happy Birthday hide!
(Pronounced: "Hee-Day" - Full Name: Hideto Matsumoto)
For those of you who have taken an interest in Jrock, and perhaps other genres within Japan, there is a fair chance you have come across this Legend!
As I understand it, he was originally in a band named Saver Tiger in his earlier years, then was recruited into the young and fierce: X Japan, a (seriously!) Legendary Symphonic Rock Band.
After disbanding in 1997 due to the vocalist's choice of departing, changing his style of music (among various other reasons for leaving), all the members took there own paths, infact all of them being musical careers!
hide who had played with Spread Beaver in the past, posing as a back-up band, finally became his official band. Fully named "hide With Spread Beaver", they begun to record his third album named "Ja,Zoo", whilst his previous two ("hide Your Face" & "Psyence") were recieved with great warmth by the music industry.
Sadly, with a most shocking turn of events while his career was beginning to really take off... hide accidently killed himself on the Second of May, 1998, in mid-process of recording the album, which was released in the aided effort of his Brother, Hiroshi Matsumoto.
Already having a very large fanbase at this time, Japan came to a standstill as the fans filled the streets mourning on the day of the funeral, where tens of thousands appeared to pay respects.
To this day, hide is still regarded as a great rock legend. With music that empowers you with high-paced rock carrying his clear signature, and smooth moving melodies openly offering warmth and emotional fulfillment... he is a star that will never fade out, and certainly never forgotten.
We love you hide! ^_^

*Do say if any of this information is incorrect, I'm more then open to learn something new! And yes, this is very much skimmed down Bio, so feel free to add more of his life story!*
If you are a great fan, then it is likely you are doing something for him! Feel free if you want to in sharing what you are doing in his memory ^_^ I for once am taking my favourite picture of him, and drawing the best portrait I can! And I'm terrible at drawing... ^_^;;[/color]
