This guys great. Really. No kidding. He wrote some pretty wicked stuff. Not to mention Beethoven and Chopin were greatly influenced by his teachings and methods.

Clementi is the type people seem to love or hate. Very little middle ground with him.

I like Clementi, much more than Mozart.
Clement is underrated , too bad.

For the Stalin joke, you mean you only get two shots, right?
A reprint of the Gradus ad Parnassum unabridged would go a far way to help Clementi's reputation. There are some beautiful cantabile pieces in there that could be standard issue among beginers.
