jeux d'eau score question
on: December 24, 2005, 04:36:34 PM
I'm working on jeux d'eau and I am working temporarily off of a free score that I got off the internet until my better arrives in the mail. I'm a bit curious if there's a mistake in my score. In ms. 75-76, my score has the melody part in eighth notes in the LH, with the accompanimant in the RH. I'm basically playing two whole measures with my arms crossed. Is this a typo? Or did Ravel write it this way?

It's supposed to go that way with the hands crossed, it's actually very natural. You could try it the other way,  but you'll probably come around to Ravel's hand distribution.
