Cracking arm
on: December 25, 2005, 06:56:26 PM
I am beggining to get a little worried abiut my right arm. Whenever I play passages which require lateral movement, it cracks!!, for example in debussy reflets dans leau, in the sweeping arrpigios it cracks everytine I reach the bottom note. Is this normal, or is something terribly wrong??

It doesnt sound serious to me, if you are worried see a doctor.
Am curios does your arm crack away from the piano,or does it happen only when playing piano.

Juts when I do severe lateral movement in pieces like reflets dans leau, or at the arpegio thing in chopin 0p 10 no.4 near te start. It never usually happens, just now and again. It never hjappens away from the piano, or when i play anything else. I have smallish hands so maybe its the large stretch that creates tension or something.
