The price of "background music"

How much should one charge for providing an hour of "background music" at a dinner event/reception?

I thought the title meant the price of background music, meaning something negative arises from piano background music.  Like lounge music at an airport.  Those guys don't seem to be much appreciated for their talents and skills.  Particularly because they play "lounge music", they sound like background music.

If the mass public only hears pianists playing background music (lounge music), they really put a negative perception of piano playing.
