Rach 3, Mozart no. 21, Grieg - BECAUSE OF GRIEG, NO! I LOVE RACH 3 THOUGH.

Brahms 2, Chopin 1, Beethoven 3rd - YES BECAUSE I LOVE THEM ALL.

Rach 2, Prok 3, Beethoven 4th - NO, BUT ONLY BECAUSE I PREFER 2ND OPTION  BETTER AND I CAN ONLY CHOOSE ONE.

Beethoven 5th, Tchaikovsky 1, Prok 2 - NO, BECAUSE THEY ALL DON'T APPEAL MUCH TO ME.

Brahms 1, Chopin 2, Bach D minor - NO, SAME REASON AS OPTION 3.

Mozart 23, Beethoven 1, Beethoven 2, Tchaik 2 - NO. THOUGH I LOVE THEM (EXCEPT FOR TCHAIK 2), I FIND MOZART AND BEETHOVEN DIFFICULT.
Well, keep going.<br />- Martha Argerich

Went with option #5, and so did almost everyone else, which surprises me. The real showpieces are in the other groups. Very interesting...

Difficult choice, because what I really want to play is Mozart 20.

I don't have a problem with Beethoven 5, but ugh why did you have to place the mighty Prokofiev 2nd with that horrific Tchaik 1...

GAH!

I say option 2 right now.
To be honest I could switch to option 4 also on another given day...

For the money, option 3 is probably the best.

I would not consider option 1 and 5.

Option 2, because of the Chopin. I love that concerto. I'm listening to Gilels playing it right now.

BUT, if I could pick any 3 they would be Chopin 1, Beethoven 4 and Rach 3.

Ugh...this probably is one of the hardest polls I've done...

Even though I like Rach 2 better than Rach 3, I went option 1 because I'd preferred its other two pieces two those of option 3 even though they were easier.

This is easy, I dislike the Mozart and Grieg in the first so that's out.
Love all in the second.
dislike the prok 3 so the thirds gooone.
don't care for the emperor or prok 2 so there goes the fourth
like all in the 5th so that stays
dislike all but the schumann (which I love) so the last ones out too.

So it comes down to the 2nd and 5th. I like Chopin E minor better than F minor, and Beethoven C minor better than Bach D minor. I also like the Brahms 2 slightly more than the D minor. In short, I choose 2. That wasn't so difficult.

Why aren't Grieg and Rach 2 in the same option?  ???

After a looong thought...
3. Because of the Rach 2.
