Chopin Nocturne 72/1 (on another website)
on: December 27, 2005, 08:10:48 PM
Hello folks,

I've been busy busy busy... my piano been gather dust :(

But I wanted to record something and let you guys know I'm still alive, and I miss this making a ruckus on this forum.

I put my sound files on myspace.  I just recorded a run-thru session I do whenever I get a chance after work.  I just popped in the recorder and recorded my debussy arabesque #1 and then followed by my Chopin Nocturne 72/1... I played them cold - without much warmup or thought.   I plan to hopefully record the Chopin again and when it's worthy of piano forum, I'll post it here.   right now, I'll keep it on "myspace." till the next recording.  In the mean time, please give me comments/criticisms on how to make the Chopin Nocturne 72/1 better for my next recording!  My own criticisms:

1. heavy on the left hand... (I blame my piano!! half joking)
2. rushing on the exciting 3rd page.

Sorry you have to listen thru the arabesque to get to the chopin.. I didn't know how to split the file up into two and it was just one recording session.

oh and the website is:

https://www.myspace.com/vinli  (personal website with pictures)

and/or

https://www.myspace.com/violcano   (this one has some violin stuff on it... my college days)

please feel free to send me some e-mail, write some comments here, or send me messages thru myspace.

Happy holidays!

You guys are my inspiration.  THANK YOU!

Oh and, most of the time on those "myspace" webpages, the music doesn't work.... Too many people crammed on there trying the same things.

So if it doesn't work, try again later.  Let me know how it works out for you.

I put you guys under my "heroes" section:  my friends at PianoStreet!

I just made some changes on the website, so that the piano music of mine could be downloaded if you were so inclined to listen to it via a downloaded version.  Let me know if that works also.

THANKS!

(this is the website where you can download my piano music).  I kept the violin music non-downloadable - I can't have you guys blackmailing me with my playing from over a decade ago.

No chance of Carnegie hall!  ha ha.  I was just joking as you are too :)

Good memory.

I didn't work on the chopin nocturne at all at the master class.  I played the debussy arabesque #1 at the masterclass, and guess what?  the guy said a lot of things you guys did right here on this forum.

Love you guys!
