I think this single thread has more text in it than a whole subforum does in da SDC.

And you know, if post length corresponds with penile girth, I think we know who has the longest one here... and the shortest one *looks at Stevie*

I'll keep my response as bnrief as possible; I've no desire to induce tedium.

My "argument" is challneged on the basis that I have myself undermined it. Selected quotations from my past posts are then quoted to demonstarte this contention. It seems that they do not, however, do so. Perhaps someone else might like to elucidate.

The next little avalanche seems destined to achieve nothing whatsoever beyond further barbs in the direction of mr Powell, so I will treat them as such and reply to them merely with a full stop. No attempt has been made to consider what was actually written.

"We" is - or rather are - invoked yet again, without identifying who the remainder of the "we" are. I will also refraion from naming the musicians concerned, since (a) they are orchestral players who may not be known to "ilovexenakis" and would therefore be likely to prove little and (b) that this will also save him the need to identify by name the other 99.999% of forum members who allegedly share one of his views.

Clearly "ilovexenakis" has modified his post to correct the spelling of schizophrenia before making his curent offering on the subject.

Apparently, I am humoristically challenged, yet this entire sub-thread began by my reference to Eonta in its context - and this is a piece on which "ilovexenakis" and I appear to agree wholeheartedly; ah, well...

I apologise unreservedly for my typos, but confirm that this is what they are - not misspellings - not that this is of great consequence.

I humbly suggest that "ilovexenakis" releases Mr Pace from his chains and finds another pillow to go hug.

Best,

Alistair

im a little confused..... when the topic is called "The sweetest piano piece," are we refering to "sweet" as how surfers are like, "sweeeet!! narly, dude" or sweet as in "awwww cute white bunny so sweeeet"

if it's the former, then I also agree with Totentanz i guess..

I'm appalled by what this thread has degenerated into.

It all happens on Discworld, where greed and ignorance influence human behavior... and perfectly ordinary people occasionally act like raving idiots.

A world, in short, totally unlike our own.

You win what, exactly? And was the avowed aim of your contributions to this thread to "win" something"? - if so, I have no doubt that most other readers will be as uncertain as I am as to what you appear to believe yourself to have "won". Perhaps if your principal interest is in the art of "winning" and "losing", you might be better off contributing to "Gamingforce" (not that I am necessarily recommending that you do so, of course).

"Play"? Again, I was unaware that any "game" was supposed to be going on here (and see the above paragraph once again for an appropriate response). If you wish to "play", then I can no more assist you here by any kind of participation than has been the case elsewhere, so may I therefore respectfully suggest that you play with yourself in future?

Best,

Alistair

You and I both - not to mention other rearers, no doubt.

Now there's a good idea (although not just because I myself suggested it here some time ago!).

Best,
