Who have this cd?..oh my God..is so good de technique of Zimerman..and Ozawa..i don have to explain nothing about this great conductor..this cd is a PRECIOUS!

i have it, its my favorite recording of rachmaninov 2nd, 1st is exquisite as well. zimerman has really beautiful tone

I have it too. Cd is awesome! I like Zimerman's sound, his techinque is on very high level and his musicality is very deep. orchestra is excellent of course!
My favourite performance of 1st Concerto! (for the second one Richter rules!)

I know that Ozawa is the best conductor out from Japan, so It must be good.
I think i will go and hunt this one down.

is it just me or is the piano reverb oh so ... unreverb like??? it just sticks out.

but still, a good playing.

Did he record 3 and 4?
I am dying to hear him play them.

I wet my pants when I heard Rach 2. Best piano recording I have ever heard of anything. It is perfect. I have listend to it hundreds of times easily and I never get sick of it. An aweinspiring jaw dropping performance.

Im going to go listen to it now.

Zimerman's performances of the Rach 1 and 2 are really well-done, and Ozawa's in fine shape (despite what the critics are saying).


I wish he also made the Rach 3.
