What is the internet really?
on: January 08, 2006, 02:04:36 AM
I see things becoming more connected -- computers, tv, phone, cameras for example.

What is the internet really?  Is it just webpages and blogs?

And how long do you think it will last in its current state?  (which is to say, how long will Piano Street exist?)

An internet is a connection of computers or computer like things over a network. The WWW is a world-wide internet.
I think the internet will always exist and become bigger until humans fall below or current level or Tech.

technically speaking ^^^^^^ hes got it...

the internet changed BIG time since when it first came out thats for sure...

alot for the better..even more for the worse..because of INTERNET..the pornographic industry has trippled in size..i believe its close to being the LARGEST industry in the world..i know it ranks up there alongside technologically inclined industries and even real estate...it impacts the economy in ways people do not believe...

its sad..but when i hear the word internet..i just think of porn...child stalking..identity theft...privacy intrusion...the internet has brought us many advantages.but we could have done without it really

All those things existed before.

Most definitions of the internet from a content perspective generally just reflect what people and their peers, family and so on, browse themselves [or the media-led hype]

I wont pretend that i have not come across these porn sights, they popup on my computer , well the did. Anyway it seems that a large number ov women , like 90% ov them are happy to get laid in full view, so that the rest ov the world can watch.
