Yes that is exactly the fingering I use. It is the easiest for me. Wonderful piece... dont you think?

there's always some kind of unusual fingering for this type of passage. what if...what if you held the pedal and used your lh for the very first top three successive notes of the double thirds? 3, 4, 5 (or 2, 3, 4) then, the rest of the notes are back to rh alone. might help with the wierd B natural Bb stuff. maybe that's awkward.
just an idea. i'm at my computer so i can't rush to the piano. (still have to sit on the stairs to go down).

No, keep it to one hand, dont make life difficult for yourself. I'ce expirimented with this passage (and more the one simliar to it earlier in the piece- which is more awkward) Keep it simple. Holding down the pedal for those2/3 bars would also make the piece blur. And Haydn is one of those composers where pedal should be used very sparingly. Good choice for a piece, it is incredible! Are you playing the entire sonata?

yeah i'm playing the whole thing after my teacher decided this one might suit me better than the hob.34 one, starting backwards cos the first movement is scaring me (though i really like it)!! haha just getting the fingering right and trying to get it fully legato hmmm....

When I started this sonata it was actually the 3rd mvt that scared me. The first is not too bad, just be careful of the runs, they're tricky. Make very sure of your fingering. And something that everyone gave me hell for, just thought I'd warn you, not too much (as little as possible) pedal in the 1st mvt. Probably cos I was playing that and the Chopin 2nd scherzo at the same time that confused my foot. Hehe. Wonderful sonata though, my favourite so far. Enjoy!

nah the third movement's fine! well in terms of learning the notes and stuff, getting it up to speed might scare me:)
yeah i was wondering about pedal in the 1st movement- what would you recommend? oh and another fingering issue there- you know near the beginning where the right hand does a run of thirds on it's own? what fingering would you use for that cos it's not sounding nice and smooth and legato for me!

You mean the thirds a few bars in? I take the first few rh alone (while the lh is still needed), then when it goes into that long run, I take it with 2 hands. Probably cheating a little but it sounds better ;-) And its alot easier so I can play around more with dynamics and texture there.
Pedal- there's little places all over the piece that I would use and would take ages to list, but in short... As little as possible, only when really needed for sound and legato lines and stuff. But if the passage can do without, dont use it.
The third mvt is so much fun up to speed, believe me! There are still little things here and there that I need to touch up but otherwise... I've finished the sonata! Yay.
