tips for Bach: Toccata in cm, BWM 911?
on: January 12, 2006, 03:02:18 PM
I've been working on this for about a week, it's such an incredible piece- it has one of the most incredible atmospheres of any piano piece I've ever heard. Sort of surreal, fantastic, majestic, defiant, incorrigible.. all sorts of emotions rolled into one amazing work. I love it.
But it's rather... difficult in spots. Any tips on learning this?
(btw, I have the Henle edition.)
Thanks!

Greetings.

Argerich plays the Toccata really impressive. Majestic piece it is. I hope to learn in some day. :)

thanks pianistimo.
Yup have that recording by Argerich, it's incredible- absolutely love it. Also have Gould's, which is of course a bit eccentric but also very cool. I do prefer Argerich's recording though.
