Imagine
on: January 13, 2006, 04:10:37 AM
Imagine this scenario:
A man fell in love with a very beautiful lady, but he never confessed his feelings to her. He knows he will never forget her, and yet he choose to live forever with this sadness and sorrow.
What piano piece would match with that situation?

The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

i don't have any heartfelt sympathy for this man. perhaps that is why i disdained chopin for so long. instead of complaining about what he got, why didn't he go out and get what he wanted.
anyway, i think rob47 is right on. no sense crying about past issues. too many people are stuck in the past. i think it's stupid. get up. move on. find another one. there's a lot of women in the world. and, if he really really liked the beautiful woman, he should have said something. what was he thinking anyway?
hope this doesn't sound harsh. i'm glad i married who i did and have no regrets. and, i frankly told him how i felt right away. what's the worst that can happen? no. that's all. is the guy scared to get a no. how unrealistic is that. he could never be a salesman.

Did you know that the Liszt Vallee d'Obermann is about that exact topic, down to the letter.

The prelude is ok, but i the nocturne ends in F major, and remember his agony and sorrow will last forever, so i dont think F major is a ket that reflects pain

the piano intro of scrianbins piano concerto, it's very buitifull and very addictive and it has a huge space for personal expression.
and there's a part at the end of the first movment that sounds like this person couldn't take anymore and started crying.
