It was a "smash and grap."  For you non-Americans that means you smash a car window, presumably using that antenna thing, grab the purse and run off.

My parents always told me never trust anyone with a television in their stomach.  I'm glad I never let my daughter see them or she'd have been inspired to follow a life of crime.

Either that or it stole Felix the Cat's bag of tricks.
