ITS SO SAD!!

I have 2 upright piano's in my house... A relatively crap one in my room (hey it works, so what) and a potentially excellent one in the lounge.

Today, my piano tuner came and removed ALL the insides of the piano in the lounge (to repair it)... it looks so NAKED! I almost wanted to cry when I saw it. There is NOTHING inside except strings and 50 years worth of dust.

AND to top it all... another repairer is coming within the next few days to take all the wood away with him and strip it entirely and redo everything...

I know its for th best... and its gonna move up to my room when its done... but... WAAAA... its just so depressing to look at.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that.

awww poor piano, but at least it's being given a new life. my piano on the other hand was 2 years ago given 2 years to live according to my tuner, so it's apparently time up but it's still going, i keep thinking the strings are going to break any moment now....

but i plan on making my cousin make some kind of table out of it, cos the wood's really nice. and somehow incorporating the keys into the table, but you can't play them of course. but i figured if i can't play my piano i might as well give the poor thing a chance at being something else other than garbage.

i'm sure your piano is thanking you for the 'makeover'!
