who won the superbowl
on: February 06, 2006, 04:28:18 AM
i don't know why, but the beginning of the superbowl puts me to sleep.  i try to stay awake, but after the introduction of the players and the start of the game - the voice of the announcer hypnotically puts me to sleep every time.  then, i woke up to the oven alarm.  and then - have been on piano forum.  all i know is it was the pittsburgh steelers against the seattle seahawks.  i was certain that the pittsburgh steelers were going to win.

perhaps my hubby and i are even.  he isn't into piano - and though try as i might - i have never watched a full game.

Steelers did, which is good. I alwas find the Super Bowls not as exciting as the AFC Championship. But the last few were good because the Pats were playing.

I thought Seattle outplayed Pittsburg for most of the game, unfortunately, there were several bad calls by the referee that made me think he has a secret offshore account somewhere.

The score was 21-10 BTW.

Most of the game? Excuse me?  maybe the first quarter, but  most of the game?  You, sir, are an ass.  :P

Derek is a thug dont mess with him

anyways

i really didnt care who won this superbowl..none of the teams appealed to me, but i suppose deep inside i wanted the Seahawks to win, simply because im a huge Jerry Rice fan ( I was Born, Raised, and live in San Francisco )...he returned to football after his retirement to win his last superbowl...he managed to get there..but unfortunately he lost...i have great respect for Rice..hes an honest man and a team player...

Seattle got a break on a questionable fumble call too.

I was happy to see the Steelers win, though I didn't hugely care either way.  I'm a Bear's fan.  Holmgren used to coach our arch nemisis, the Green Bay Packers, so my enemies enemy is my friend.  Besides, I like good old industrial towns like Pittsburgh.  It was a better game than most of the Superbowls I've seen.

Well, maybe I exaggerated a bit, but that's the way I saw until the last quarter. There's no need to be rude.

thanks for clearing up the details!  i'm really going to try hard next game - but there's just something about ballgame announcers voices.  it's not that they aren't exciting to listen to - but the pattern of their inflections becomes somewhat predictable or something and it's faster than going under general anesthesia for me.
