The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

What's this song
on: October 16, 2003, 06:22:08 AM
As you can see from my name, i don't play piano.  Don't hate, i love the piano.  I thought this was the best forum to post in, so please help.    ANYWHO, there's this song that everyone knows that i figured out by ear long time ago and holy sh*t i dont know the name.  Im almost positive its in C.  The chord arrangement, very simple i know, is C, Amin, F, G.

If it doesn't click in yet, i will include the melody.  The
"|" indicate the bars.  Oh yeah, i don't think i need to include the timing.  Ill just try to space em out.

| C C C    | C        | C B A |B C D| E E E |

The pattern repeats itself.  Please inquire for more instructions, but i think you piano players should know the name.  thank you in advance. And if you answer my question, you will never see me on these boards again.

That PIECE is included in the soundtrack to the movie 'Big' with Tom Hanks (it's played in the ending credits) if that helps

I know it but dread to think who wrote it or what banal thing it may be called,

"Heart and Soul."  Just don't play it when you're in the same town as me.

HAHAHAHA, hit it right on the head there Hmoll!!  That piece is certainly a piece (of @#$%)

It seems like that tune is omnipresent- I hear it all too much and even now I can hear it from the simple text on the original post...
