David Dubal's radio show tonight (Wednesday Feb.8)
on: February 09, 2006, 07:09:43 AM
Did anyone listen to a radio show tonight, which is hosted by David Dubal, called "Reflections from the Keyboard"?  He played a recording played by Francesco Libetta, a live recording, of a piece I think by Alkan, but I am not sure...
I did not hear it - a friend was listening, and she tried to tell me about it, how beautiful it was, but she doesn't remember what the name of the piece was.  All she remembers was that it was Libetta playing Alkan.  So I am trying to figure out what piece it was.
Did anyone one else hear, and can you tell me what the piece was?
Thanks!!!

According to the WQXR website, these were the pieces played last evening.

Gottschalk: Pasquinade; Bach: Partita No 2 in C minor: Rondeau; Alkan: Grande Sonata, Op 33: 1st mvt; Debussy: Soiree dans Granade; Rachmaninoff: Etude Tableau, Op 33, No 2; Grieg: Norwegian March; Josseff: At the Spring. Hosted by David Dubal.
