Victor Borge - videos?
on: February 09, 2006, 11:51:37 AM
Hey everyone,
I've recently been hooked to Victor Borge! I nearly died laughing when I first watched his rendition of Hungarian Rhapsody no 2  :P Does anyone know where I can find more videos to watch? Or audio files.. (I've already been to the tribute to Victor Borge page)
And while we are on the topic of musical humour, another one that I love is All Classical Music Explained by Rainer Hersch! It was broadcasted as a six part series on BBC a few months back I think.. I managed to record all but the one on composers, which was my ultimate favourite! Is it possible that someone would have recorded it too.. ::)
Thanks!

I too find this man immensly amusing. His sketch with Marilyn Horne singing "rigormortis" by Joe Green (Verdi) had me in fits.

Dudley Moore did an interesting version of the "Moonlight" Sonata, but you have to have a very broad mind to appreciate it.

Ahhh, the great Victor Borge... He had me in complete hysterics on a flight to Canada with his phonetic punctuation, it was the funniest thing I had heard in years!!!

Wow Tom yes I'd love all of them (oops) except the Hungarian Rhapsody cause I already have that on my computer.. I've seen the Tchai and Dance of the Comedians but I don't have the files so I'd like those too..
How do you suggest you transfer them? I expect these files will be mighty big..

It's okay, just watch out next time. If you don't like something, say "I really don't like Victor Borge" rather than insult the memory of a dead man.

did I say I was sorry? Just because I admitted to being a troll, doesn't mean I apologized. Geeze is common sense. ( 6th cents)
