help with fingering
on: February 10, 2006, 03:20:10 AM
sorry for repeating this topic...
I have a question about the fingering in Debussy's jardins sous la pluie. The right hand part of bar 22, should I use 4-5 for both CE and EbG? or the easier 3-5??? Please provide me some tips about it, thanks!!!!!!!!!

say, i found a pianist by the name of charles timbrell who's written a book about piano technique with debussy. you might want to ask him.
charlestimbrell@aol.com or charlestimbrell@howard.edu
i put some stuff that i found on fingering that compared de falla's fantasy batisa? with gardens in the rain on the other thread that you asked the same question. hope this helps, too. interesting that he often used lh and rh interchangeably. seems that debussy is quite a mystery until you have someone help you figure it out (fingering, pedalling, intention).
