Schumann: Two Questions
on: February 11, 2006, 04:40:19 AM
1 - Im looking for a piece in F#minor by him. Did he write a piece in that key signature?
2 - "In der Natch" Op 12-5. Who has played it? Tips?
Thanks

The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

op.12. part of the Phantasiestucke is one of the most popular sets. Perahia, Richter I think and possbily Cortot. Argerich probably.

Never look at the trombones. You'll only encourage them.

The eighth novelette is in f# minor-- at least halfway! Then it switches to primarily D major.
