computer sounds --> how to turn them off
on: February 13, 2006, 01:37:28 AM
I have been trying to use that "What U Hear" function on my soundcard to live stream music from a website.  However, this thing picks up everything, including that annoying "click" noise that happens when you press the "<- Back" icon on the top left, or go anywhere on the internet or browse around the documents.

I can't just not click while recording, because this website where I am recording from threatens to time me out every now and then, and I need to click a 'continue' button (and then the computer click noise goes off and ruins the recording).

Can someone please direct me to the control panel function on my computer so I can turn off these annoying automatic clicking noises?
  I am using Windows XP.

You have no idea how much your help will change my life.

Ok...

Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds > Sound Scheme change it to No Sounds

YES! it was that "Start Navigation" sound that was doing it.
