Winter Olympics

OK.  So I am watching the winter Olympics on TV.  I know I am an old fart, but am I the only one that watches the downhill skiing, then the halfpipe and thinks the halfpipe is the silliest looking thing I've ever seen?  it looks clumsy, SLOW, and just plain ridiculous compared to the other sports to me.
So much music, so little time........

Yeh, the halfpipe is pretty sad, but how about the curling.

People with brooms chasing kettles.

I love the Ski Jumping, that is an exciting event.

i've been watching the ice-skating, but my son loves the idea of snowboarding being included in the olympics.  i think the risk of serious injury must be high - but must be the same way with most all the sports.  something about a pelvic injury making michelle kwan drop out?  she's so pretty to watch. the russian pair skaters looked good too!

Ah, the half pipe is great. i guess the reason why i like it must be because i used to do skateboard and i used to the half-pipe and quater quite a lot. never the vert though.

Downhill is great too. da speed  8) . i havent done a downhill ski competition before, but when it comes to skiing, i love speed. i was supposed to go this week skiing, but my parents decided not to go because of my exams.   :'(
