I had no idea Delius wrote a piano concerto. I am very fond of his late orchestral writing but, as the review says, this music doesn't sound like the Delius I know. Thanks for pointing it out though.

I don't like the Delius Concerto. Somehow it doesn't really appeal to me. The Ecologue by Finzi (on the same disc) is a gorgeous piece though.

Yes indeed, the Finzi Eclogue is lovely. There was someone on here looking for a piece for piano and strings recently - it could be an ideal piece if it's not too short for them.

my mistake.  i thought eclogue was his also.  finzi, ehh.  i really like it, too.
