3 big macs in 5 minutes is mediocre at best..  i can eat a greasy breakfast bagel from my school's caf in 10 minutes without throwing up    :-X

you know this is a serious issue that people should complain about more.  my kids have stopped or limited eating cafeteria food.  my son says the food isn't worth eating.  why does out tax money not go so far anymore.  they should make sure that they're getting adequate nutrition for the money.

one midwest school - the only one that has caught my attention - actually started giving the kids apples and oranges - and veggies - and something more substantial to eat.  eliminated the soda machines/substituting milk.  and guess what.  the grades started going up.

*if i were in charge of the program, i'd have a garden that the kids tended and so they'd save on the budget by growing some of the food - and enjoying the process.  it would taste better and have more vitamins.

i don't get the whole cafeteria food thing- the whole bring your lunch from home, or buy/order it from the canteen is the way to go, at least then you know what you're eating and parents can make sure their kids are actually eating something possibly substantial that they might actually like

And what really fascinates me is that google thinks a large selection of popular piano music and CD's has to do with veggies in cafeterias or how many big mac's you can eat in 10 secs.

Maybe there is a link between kids grades, veggies in the cafeteria, Sorabji, and eating big mac's as fast as you can.  Maybe your all supposed to do it while playing the Fantasie Impromptu.

Ok here's a good thread topic: Am I ready to persuade my cafeteria to serve healty food while rasie my grades while think of intellectual Sorabji topics while eat big mac's as fast as I can with my healthy cafeteria food while discuss if Hannon serves any purpose or not, while all at the same time find out if I'm ready to play the Fantasie Impromptu.

P.S.  Am I ready to learn OC now?

This is exactly what happened in the show "Jamie's School Dinners", those pommy kids were eating this terrible crap and then after they started eating healthy they were easier to control and (iirc) worked better in class. My approach is to not eat at uni and spend my food money on cds.

Except for the fact that most school kids don't want fruit and vegetables, at least in my experience. If you don't like the food they serve pack your own, it is cheeper anyways.

ok. quantum, you win.  but you have to admit, these threads are totally random and so you never really know where they will lead - possibly finding the secret of how to play fantasie impromptu through the subconcious thoughts about big macs and school cafeteria food.  possibly the grease on the keyboard?
