Okay, this what everyone's been waiting for.......  *drum rolls quietly to build suspense*

Yes! It's an entire thread dedicated to anecdotes of wildly weird experiences of seeing a weird or spectacular piano, or you can share pictures of weird or truly spectacular pianos!!! ;D

yeah. especially when under properties, it says "https://www.steinway.com/steinway/artcase_collection/harmony/zoom/c.jpg"... kind of a give away...

You don't really have to do even that, in firefox you just have to left click the image. One of the options is "block the images from www.steinway.com".

The thing that makes it interesting is that it is steinway serial number 500000 and according to this article, it was worth more than $500k in 2001 :O

Pianorama: first get the link to the picture by right clicking it and going to properties. Then, when replying, type [img*]https://www.steinway.com/steinway/artcase_collection/northstar.jpg[/img*]

But remember that it should be without the *'s, which when taken away should come out as this:

Henrah

Also you can click the image button when replying, which is just under the Italics button.

You're missing off a directory.

It should be *https://www.steinway.com/steinway/artcase_collection/northstar.jpg* not *https://www.steinway.com/artcase_collection/northstar.jpg*

Try again, but this time right click the image, go to properties, then copy and paste the link to make sure you get it 100% accurate.

When I right-click the picture and click on properties all it does is bring a tiny box saying:

Your welcome. And no, there's no need to keep the box open. Simply select and drag over the address (URL) to black it out, then copy (ctrl+c) and paste (ctrl+v)

What's really weird is that's a picture of me playing Steinway's 500,000th piano.

That's what I get for posting pictures of myself on the internet I guess.

lol

You grabbed it from the pianosheets site I'm guessing......?

Absolutely. I posted it on another piano related site a few months ago. The picture was taken at Steinert & Sons (the second oldest Steinway dealer in the world). On the same day I got to play Horowitz' Steinway (CD503).

Here's a couple of pics:
