just wondering if anyone knows some good books, or better yet articles in random journals and magazines that have to do with the symphonie fantastique, or the french romantic symphony?

Have you otherwise read his Mémoires? In it he speaks of its creation. In any case I found it an interesting book, highly entertaining also.

excellent that's a decent place to start. haven't read any of his writings yet, but am planning on doing as soon as i can be bothered hauling myself to upper campus to the library (too darn hot to climb all those stairs this week!!)
