How to start with Chopin?

Hello,

which would you say is an good order to start playing pieces of Chopin? Which of his etudes is less difficult?

The Préludes are a good place to start as there is a huge spectrum of challenges there, from really short and easy to very hard.

Then maybe Nocturnes or Polonaises.

I believe that there are some pretty easy Mazurka's and Waltze's to.

preludes are the best way to lead on to Chopin etudes.

The Etudes are so ruff!  ;D

Even the easy ones are beyond me at present (25-2, 10-6 etc). So yeah, the Preludes are probably much safer. No's 4, 6, 7, 15, 20 are all pretty tame, technically.

Ok, thank you for your hints. Meanwhile I've seen the "Etudes" ... I will look for some preludes, mazurkas, waltzes or other stuff that's on my level.
