Who are some of your favorite painters and and paintings? Here are a few from Caspar david Friedrich... One of my favorite painters.

My favourite painter is John William Waterhouse. You can see some of his paintings here. He painted a lot of mythological scenes and characters. I love his art.

My other two favourites are Van Gogh and Dali. I love their individual ways of seeing the world.

I can't really say I have a favorite one, but have you seen Mendelssohn's water colors? They are really impressive. Watercolors are hard to control.

schonberg was a painter of note, and richter had lessons.  debussy claimed to prefer the company of artists to that of musicians.
matisse was a dedicated violinist.  his magnificent picture 'the piano lesson' is one of my favourites, and shows his son playing haydn on a pleyel grand, with a garden view behind.  he also made a portait drawing of cortot.  the companion painting to his  'la danse' is 'la musique' and considered on of the seminal works of early modernism.

I like Salvador Dali's paintings.  Also stuff my M.C. Escher. 
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
