Clough&Warren piano???
on: November 06, 2003, 09:35:08 PM
Has anyone got any information on the above brand of piano? My aunt wants to give me the old piano they have and my uncle, the packrat, is thinking about it. I would, of course, have it checked by a tech to make sure it's even functional etc, but I've never heard of the maker.
I've done a Google search and only turned up info on their organs, which were all made during the Golden Age, but no piano info. Also a very, very small bit on player-piano parts by the maker.
It's called a Clough & Warren Cabinet Grand, C-14042, also had numbers: 26 72836 on the inside. Has a very fancy, carved case. Some of the original ivories are gone, but I'm not necessarily worried about that.
Has anyone every heard of this maker and/or played them? Any recommendations?
Thank you in advance!
