german word

What's the German word for concert or recital?  Like "I just gave a piano recital."  I was thinking it's klavierkonzert, but then I was thinking that konzert is concerto.
When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.

you can use konzert, although its more often used in the sense of a band playing rock in front of people. what you also could use would be the verb "vorspielen". its like giving a recital. playing in front of people. however, if a professional plays on an evening its more referred as konzert.

hope this helps
