best maps of the arctic

don't know why i'm putting this here, other than curiosity.  www.earthslot.org  this site merges the best available maps and satellite imagery of the world with the latest information on scientific projects in the arctic.  using earthslot, one can virtually fly to any location on earth with 3-d perspective.

it's the way poor people travel for free.  i'm ready to see europe, but my bank account says 'no.'  got the new washing machine, though.  (*i never wanted to be the person that died in their own backyard - ironic).
