Help on Kinderscene no.1 Von fremden Landern und Menschen
on: March 25, 2006, 10:53:07 PM
I am trying to learn this first piece from the schumann suite Kinderscenen.
To see the music I am looking at, go to
www.sheetmusicarchive.net
then Schumann, and then Scenes from Childhood.
I am wondering what hand is assigned each notes.
In the first measure, to me it looks like the B the G and the higher G and G are all played by the right hand.
Am I right? Do you finish the piece that way?

The first two notes of the triplet are played by the left hand, and the third triplet note by the right. (I think that was what you were saying). This continues for the whole piece.

both lower and higher g's in the first measure are played by the right hand. but the lower g played by the thumb is supposed to be really soft. You have to connect the melody of the right hand too. Don't let go of the first B until you get to the higher G. and keep the thumbs soft. my teacher made me practice it without pedal at first so I could make sure I was connecting the melody.
